Friends of CSA,
We find ourselves facing a new reality that we never anticipated. While the situation and the world’s response to it is ever-evolving, there is one constant: making sure our CSA students and families remain a top priority.
There’s no doubt that it has been challenging to move from daily, in-person programming to this virtual landscape. We miss seeing & being with the kids as they studiously work on their academics and advance in their squash abilities. It’s hard, but we’re nimble. We’ll adapt. In fact, we already have.
Here are some steps we are taking to stay engaged with our CSA scholars:
• Updating & distributing this online resource page with information related to food access, mental health, financial assistance, etc. • Calling and texting families to check in at least 2x per week • Building out curriculum to host remote academic and fitness Zoom sessions
Interested in supporting our efforts?
There are a variety of ways for you to lend a hand. These include…
• Supplying shelf-stable food and/or other supplies (e.g. toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning products)
• Providing connections to additional resources that may be of use to our families • Investing in our current and future success as an organization
The obstacles we face are far from over. And yet, I’m confident that we will get through this together and be stronger for it in the end.
